| I've always been fascinated by anything repetitive: patterns on wallpapers, fabrics, history, fashion, human behavior, even mistakes I make, etc. In a broad sense, most things repeat themselves. It seems that our life consists of constant repetition. In this sense, patterns play an important role in my work. They are more than just decorative elements. They represent our habits of life, our similar looks on the street, sporadic cultural resemblances...and more than anything else, the lost identities overshadowed by the overwelming loads of media and trends. |
